John Meli has more than 20 years experience in the construction of commercial and domestic swimming pools in WA and NSW. He is a qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and holds a NSW pool building supervisor’s licence. With a zero tolerance for cutting corners, borne from his experience in the aviation industry, John ensures that all projects are completed to a high standard and receive a guarantee of workmanship.
He has designed, constructed and maintained swimming pools throughout Perth and surrounding districts, as well as in regional areas of WA and in NSW for both the commercial and domestic industry. He has project managed various projects, managed staff and completed works to specific time-frames. He has engaged staff, particularly sub-contractors to conduct works, and supervised Contractors, in the construction of structures in both steel and concrete.
As an advocate for quality, he has supervised work standards to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia. He has worked along-side Engineers, Architects, Site Managers, Supervisors and Tradesmen. He has extensive knowledge of concrete and water retaining structures and is able to read engineers plans and follow detail.
John has an established reputation for being able to design and construct complex pools, water parks and complex filtration systems, catering for domestic and commercial sized projects. He has supervised the construction of large-scale plant rooms, large buildings and structures including major projects for resorts.
With so many years experience in the pool industry and a demonstrated track record of constructing quality commercial and residential pools, John also provides a consultancy service to architects, planners and local governments to scope for tenders and design custom pools.
